It is smaller than expected, barely gets warm and the sound quality is exceptional. Due to its low power consumption it even works with my iPhone 14 flawlessly.
The true strength of this device is its DSPs though. I have tried a few devices with EQ and DSP before (Fiio KA17 for example) and they fall short when it comes to the transparancy and quality of the signal processing that the Neutron DAC has.
The PEQ and Crossfeed DSP are really well implemented. I cant tell a difference to any good implementations on the market.
Unlike with the Fiio which distorts and changes the sound in a bad and very artificial sounding way.

It really shows that the developer is very experienced with signal processing.
I am very curious how this tiny gem further improves throughout its lifecycle.

It fits well, looks good and serves its purpose as a protective case.

The Dac sounds great and having autoeq and crossfeed for all audio on your phone or pc is priceless! I recommend this Dac!

I travel quite often. This is the perfect super light weight solution for my needs. They give new life to my custom inears thanks to the peq function. The device is so tiny!

Stupid good for size and price!! Using with Verum headphones giving outstanding quality of sound ! I don’t have measurements ability, just listening, so I suggest you try for yourself.

Neutron HiFi Isolator V1 Portable IP67-rated High-Speed data and power isolator is a vey usefull device for me. I installed it in my audio equipment between USB DAC and PC to reduce power noise. Thank you, Neutron team for good device!

For me it has been a pain finding DAC that 1) has good features, 2) no background noise with sensitive IEMs and 3) supports mic input at adequate level (being loud and clear). I use DAC both for mobile phone (it has no 3.5mm port, only usb type-c) and desktop pc use (listening to music, gaming, conference calls etc).
I have tried questyle m12i, hiby fc3 version with screen as well as other manufacturers that explicitly claim mic support. And they all failed (mic volume was too low and if I artificially increased mic gain through e.g. 'Peace' software, that would add distortion to mic input).
This DAC fully addresses my needs and I expect it will also meet expectations of majority of users.
I am using this DAC with 64audio u12t and shure se846. Now I can finally put my search efforts to end.

This is the best portable dac/amp I've ever heard. There is nothing else really to say, it has amazing resolution, clarity, soundstage, musicality, it has everything. It beats most headphone stacks I have heard under $10k just from a generic USB from a computer playing neutron player. It's the best $179 I've ever spent on any audio equipment ever. Definitely get it, and Neutron player app if you don't already have it.
